Hello To One & All,
Welcome to the Kansas City Shootout for Soldiers Lacrosse Festival, an all-day celebration of the Creator's Game and a gathering of honor for the entire Lacrosse Community. Are you in this? Join us on Saturday, October 4 at Paragon Star in Lee's Summit, MO for a lacrosse experience unlike any you've encountered before. The Kansas State University Lacrosse Alumni Organization has partnered with Shootout for Soldiers to host this event, and we want you to join us.
Shootout for Soldiers is an organization which uses lacrosse to reunite and reengage Veterans with the communities they Served and our program has always held a deep respect for those who Serve and for those who Served.
Our first coach was a man of Service and Sacrifice, and we are going to honor the legacy of 1LT Donaldson P. Tillar III with this very special day. Four fields of lacrosse action, an MCLA mini-Tournament, the Feats of Strength, military honors and a flyover by a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter prior to the Ceremony of Honor are just a few of the highlighted events waiting on October 4 but, as we like to say at K-State, your presence is your most powerful contribution.
Donnie gave a generation of K-State Lacrosse players the gift of the Creator's Game and we have joined Shootout for Soldiers to keep the Spirit of the Game flowing. We're asking three things of you:

Share The Spirit of The Game
Tell a Friend. Bring the Family. Honor a Veteran...better yet, play in honor of a Veteran! Donnie is K-State's Veteran and he showed us what Duty, Service, Sacrifice and Team Play mean. We embraced these teachings and we have grown our program in his honor. Our Alumni are committed to sharing the legacy of Donnie Tillar III and we are going to showcase the joy which the Creator's Game delivers on October 4.
The Spirit of the Game is simple; Donnie gave the game to us and we are obligated to do the same for another. Help us share the game of lacrosse and help us honor the Service of our Veterans by joining us for the Kansas City Shootout for Soldiers Lacrosse Festival.
Are you in this?
