United We Stand

           Hello and Welcome to the Kansas City Shootout for Soldiers Lacrosse Festival, a celebration of the Medicine Game in honor of those who serve.  Shootout for Soldiers is a national movement of lacrosse players, coaches, referees, fans and families who are united by a single mission - to use the connective force of lacrosse as a magnet of support for our Veterans and First Responders.  

          The Kansas City Shootout for Soldiers Lacrosse Festival is an all-day extravaganza of lacrosse which includes: a collegiate tournament, a Sevens Division (with HS Boys & Girls plus a Masters bracket), a rugby exhibition and a Veterans game all playing in tribute of those who serve.  We’ll have a Midway of vendor booths, auction tables and displays with contests, raffles, food and music adding to the festive environment.  Join as a team, create your own team or register as an individual.  We want you for the KC Shootout for Soldiers Lacrosse Festival. 

          At midday, our festival pauses as we gather as one for the Ceremony of Honor where service and sacrifice are recognized and the Shootout for Soldiers mission is amplified.  Lacrosse has a healing power and our circle is wide and welcoming.  The greatest success for Shootout for Soldiers is when a Veteran or First Responder is brought into the Medicine Game to experience the restorative balm of inclusion and acceptance for themselves but this path is not always clear and our mission helps support a network of vetted non-profit organizations devoted to those who serve.     

          Shootout for Soldiers raises money through our national schedule of lacrosse events and registering with SFS creates a personal fund-raising page for each player, team or volunteer.  By joining our mission you are serving a cause in honor of those who served us.
